Have the same boat. Tow it with a 03 Ram 3500 Diesel. Would not attempt to tow it with anything less. The newer 3/4 ton trucks will work as they have increased the tow rating substantially. I try to be as cautious of a driver out there when towing. Especially with the family in the truck. Had two instances that I was happy I had as much truck as I did. One was heading up I 79 heading towards Erie Pa. Came around a bend and traffic was at a stop. I was able to stop in time between braking and down shifting my truck. The second incident was on I 4 in Florida. Was following a Semi Truck that suddenly did an emergency lane change to avoid hitting a car that stopped in a middle lane. They wanted to take the exit which was immediately to their right. I then had to do the same maneuver with my boat in tow. Luckily nobody was beside us and the truck handled it just fine. Never compromise on the tow vehicle. You never know when something will go awry...

No! I have a 2008 Escalade 6.2L. I will pull my 3850# Skater with it (5800# with trailer) but, I prefer to use my F250 diesel. An Escalade is a light 1/2 ton chassis.
