The idea of buying a sle and upgrading is a good idea.

Here's how it turned out:

We are very pleased with the way it turned out !! Our sales rep said with Denali Door badges and grille no one could tell the difference. With GM and Chevy offering $3500 CASH towards purchase of new I would consider it.

i thought the gmc yukon denali had a 6.2 liter..

The Denali does..the SLE and SLT models come with the 5.3.

I have the 6.2 in my 09 LTZ Tahoe-Strong motor! about 106k on it now. Not one problem except Fuel pump and boy she likes fuel!! and 91 octane.
