I had a discussion with someone about the power train warranty and why they are changing it. They are only matching every other manufacturer and for the most part the extra warranty isn't why people decided to buy anyhow. Just throwing that out there.

Local dealer has a new 2WD 3500 SRW Denali Crew long bed listed on their site for $56,532 (62K sticker I think). I called their fleet guy (bought several work trucks from them over the last 15 years) and he hits me with 58,xxx. I said it is on your website for 2K less and I was hoping to pay less than that......He calls back and says that was a misprint, no way they could sell it for that and changed the website price up to 58,xxx.

Warranty is one of the biggest reasons I sold my 20k mile '13 dmax denali to a buddy and bought a '15 dmax Denali, since the powertrain was being reduced from 100k to 60k. The new interior was nice too

The LML/Allison is awesome.

I wish I could customize the warranty. I would trade a miles for years on my tow vehicle warranty. I basically put ~ 4000 miles/year on in 5 months during boating season then its parked in the garage until the following year. Now on the other hand, I would trade years for miles on my daily driver warranty...

Understandable.

My tow rig and DD are one in the same though.

I did that years ago.......didn't need a diesel crew for dd duty though. Bought truck new in 2003 for 32,XXX after 10K in rebates/discounts (crew cab 2500 SLE 2WD) then proceeded to dump 39K in diesel fuel in it over the next 8 years (170K miles). Realized it would have been cheaper to park it and drive something else daily then I would have had a "mint" tow vehicle with low miles vs a high mileage used truck!
