Thats why the wife absolutely wanted to stay away from black. Beautiful when clean, for 5 minutes after being washed. lol Instead we went with white. Not as good as silver to hide dirt but better than black. Plus it matches the boat. :)

Thanks a lot Bad Ass TA WS6 - It's guys like you who buy new black trucks that jinx the weather pattern. If you had bought a red or blue or white or silver truck the snow druids would have kept moving to Quebec! Its all your fault we are getting hammered this week in SNH ! Now we will be required to burn a Fountain as a sacrifice to the snow god Blastoviya in hopes of restoring normal winter misery. :evilb:
PS Some would argue not much of a sacrifice. LOL |
I drove two 1-ton SRW trucks this week:
2017 Ford F-350 SRW CC SB 2015 GMC Denali HD 3500 SRW CC LB The ride of the Denali was FAR, and I mean REALLY FAR superior of the Ford. Now at least I know what truck I want. |

100% agree with you, Ford has lost a lot of ground in the ride department.

Full Force has it right - GM's have always ridden better, Ford's ride best with 5 tons on the hitch, that is when GM's ride the worst! A Bentley rides really well, but does not tow much. Think about what matters most to you, then go for it.
P S Sydwayz - A long bed will always ride better than short bed brand for brand. |
From the research I did when truck shopping, I found that unless you were planning on towing with a 5th wheel the harder ride of a 1 ton really wasn't worth it. The 2500 and 3500 trucks, when spec'd the same, had the same tow rating at the rear hitch. So that helped me decide to go 2500 vs 3500 again. I definately like the improved ride on my 2500. Its not the softest, but it still feels firm enough without jarring you on pot holes and bumps.
Sydwayz, try to find a Ram with the factory airbags to test just as a comparison. A lot of people who got that really love it. |
I daily drive my truck, when it's empty it's a pogo stick. 2012 F350 SRW LB 6.7 When there is a trailer or boat hitched up, the truck rides very well no doubt about that. My buddy's 2016 GMC 3500 SRW rides very well empty and when towing a boat it's very comparable to my F350 while it's towing. Somehow GMC has figured out the middle ground between empty and loaded better than Ford. If I didn't daily drive my truck the ride wouldn't be an issue for me.
