Dont have a paid membership right now so this is the link to the dealer page. The listed price is with all available incentives, some of which I did not qualify for. But still got a price close to it.

Nice truck , good luck with it.

Thanks. Having the kid along with the fact that, either my wife or myself, ride in the back seat a lot with him on trips the bigger cab will be nice.

Congrats! Great trucks. Love the mega! I have owned multiple Cummins Rams with 200-400k miles and had good luck with all of them!

I run the exhaust brake all the time unless it's slippery conditions

I only run addative when parking for the night below zero

Enjoy!

That's a great price for a Mega Cab Cummins!!! The Chevy gasser cost that much!

Obnoxus, yes, the 6.0 would tow my boat as it is rated at 14.5k. I can also get a Ram with the 6.4 that will tow 15k lbs. The big concern is that they will get horrible gas mileage. I was reading reviews online where people were only getting about 10 to 11 miles per gallon with the 6.0. The Ram boys claim better at around 13 to 14. Thats combines city highway. Problem with the gassers, you need the 4.10 gears for those tow rates. And when I can possibly get a Cummins powered Ram for the same price as a 6.0 Chevy, its hard to pass up. I will admit the styling was nice on the chevy. But I am partial to the Mega Cab for space and comfort.

As for towing, Most trips will be local. We will tow the boat to Lake Erie from Pittsburgh a couple times a year. We have also towed it to Florida and hope to do more trips in the future. We also do at least one trip to the Outer Banks a year. So we do some long runs.
I actually towed with a 1/2 ton for a year before I bought my 2500. I didn't like the ride at all with the 1/2 ton. The suspension didn't like the weight and the engine struggled going up hills. Granted, that was back in 2007 but I'd prefer a 3/4 ton so with the 8K+ lbs and the family in the truck plus a loaded bed for vacation, it's still plenty of truck.
