Im waiting on a measurement from my salesman but it looks to be atleast 8'. Even if I could cut down 6"-12" it could make a huge difference. The only issue then would be the fact that it comes standard with a full camper isinglass enclosure (The other 2 this was a several thousand dollar option) and I would have to sell it and have a custom one made to match the new hardtop height

still suggest push button hydraulic/electric mechanism where arch slides down into pockets lowering the roof (2- 2 1/2 feet)
both for trailering and the few and far between hi tide low bridge situation.

what's in it for power and drive, maybe i missed that

I went with Mercruiser 6.2L 300HP with Axius Premier and Seacore Bravo III's. I was going to go with the 350 HP version, but the economy is best with the 300's and top speed is only a couple MPH difference. Im not too worried about top speed since it is a cruiser, plenty of other boats for going fast lol. Plus it is a little ridiculous that the same exact engine tuned for 50HP more is $11,000 more ha. Guess that is boating but its easier to justify the additional cost for speed/ performance on a go fast boat than it is a cruiser that will hardly ever be WOT.

You suggestion sounds awesome, now I just need to find someone to Engineer and install it, because that is a bit beyond my DIY level ha.

Wanted to follow up on this with some pictures. Ended up going wider to get the height down to 13’6” (without Radar/ Flir) and very glad I did. Yes, it is a bit more stressful with a wide trailer than normal, but the height is even more so. Being at 13’6” doesn’t concern me, so I am very happy with my decision. Took delivery of the boat late last month and have already towed it 2,000 miles. We absolutely love being able to go to different lakes/ areas at any time. We took delivery of the boat and stayed on it in the St. Pete area for a week. Then we headed north to Indianapolis. Instead of dealing with permits on a per trip basis, I just got annuals in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Indiana. Made more sense since we will take the boat back south to our Florida home in the winter. Decided to skip the weigh stations and see how we fared on the way home. Did not have a single issue, even though we were driving on Sunday and at night some. The following weekend we went down for a long 4 day weekend at Lake Cumberland. Last weekend we had things to get done around the house, so we didn’t use it. Plan to launch it on our small local lake that we live on in Indy this weekend. Here are some picts.

Looks good! You are a gutsy hauling driving at night with the oversize banners. 'Id at least pulled the banners off. LOL In IN, you can travel on weekends with the oversize permits,(no escorts) just not Holiday weekends. We hauled ours down to Bloomington Memorial weekend and had to be off the road by noon Fri.

Dont get me wrong I think it's a beautiful setup but my point is the flags, signs and permits. I'm sure you could find a hardass cop out there one day but for the most part I would think if you don't draw attention to yourself you would slide through unnoticed.
