We are about to experience a new era of electric cars that are fun, fast, affordable and practical and I'm kind of excited about that.

Maybe, but I am skeptical. Gonna have to have major improvement in range, styling and charging station saturation before I trade in my ZO6! That time will probably come well after I leave this earth. LOL

Ford moving production back to the US last year was an admirable and supportive action, and bolstered their credibility with the country. The approach taken by FCA to revamp existing plants to produce new models is commendable, and exactly what GM should be undertaking. They could have posted a profit of 5 Bil instead of 7.5 Bil, and used the 2.5 Bil to keep their employees on, while revamping the existing plants. As for me, I will vote with my wallet. My C7 is the last GM product I will buy for a long time.

Its hard to believe that any company that has not relentlessly pursued profits is going to be around long. Pretty sure it has always been that way. GM beat Ford to the punch with their restructuring, Ford's is coming up and likely will be at least as ugly.

Are you familiar with how locomotives and ships are powered? Often diesel is still involved, but ultimately they are electric vehicles.

trains and ships have little to do with battery power unlike these cars. Yes they use electric motors but those giant diesel generators are powering those motors not batteries.
