I drive '16 Chevy Duramax 2500. Absolutely love the truck. I have put 60K miles on it in less than 3 years. I drive it daily. I find it very comfortable. I put slightly larger Nitto Ridge Grapplers on it and they do ride harder than the stock Goodyears. But I still find my truck to ride very nice. When I'm towing, the torque of the D-Max is amazing.

I can’t speak for the HD trucks, but if I put 5 to 10 pounds of air in the airbags it rides a lot nicer. Seems to get the rear up off the springs and rides on the cushion of air.

And when it comes to Ram, the gas trucks ride harsher than the diesel trucks.
I test drove a Ram 2500 gasser that was a CC LB, so I could take my turning measurements, and could not believe how rough the ride was. I was later told that they put stiffer springs in the gas trucks than the diesel trucks due to them often being used as fleet trucks that see city miles, plows, and the like.

My daily driver is an 18 2500 Duramax. I have no issues with ride quality, but I do run 60psi tire pressure. up around 70psi, you can feel the difference.

I can't say if it was applicable in your case, but there is a snowplow prep for the Dodge's (probably everyone has it) that doesn't include the plow and in a regular truck it does make a small pot hole feel like a crater. Obviously much stiffer spring rate and ????

I have a 2012 Ram 3500 with a "lesser " trans , thing drives like a dream . I`ve never had a better riding truck.
Zero issues , it has over 100k miles . Has never let me down. I deleted the emission crap and got 2 more mpg and put a tow tune on it .
My only complaint is my boats too heavy and the thing will spin the 4 rear tires taking off .. lots of tq.

Also for an automatic inflator that's not $200 I got this unit for $35 from my supply store (we get deals when you buy lots of equipment) works like a champ .
