Kid is in extremely high end pool construction (like the tv show pools).........lives at home due to all his traveling and stroked a check for the truck knowing construction can screech to a halt especially high end stuff.
He just finished a pool that was 2mm! Just the pool, not the house! He ordered the truck but didn't order a platinum/king ranch level but its a nice truck.

My buddy's kid just got his F250. Diesel/crew/4x4 but he ordered the factory spray in liner, he got charged for it but the truck didn't get it. Kid is about 25, he is a diehard Ford nut and this is his first brand new truck. He is trying to get the dealer to pay a local LineX dealer for the spray in liner but they want to split it with him!
Months ago the dealer I ordered from removed the spray in liner and bed cover because they found out Ford was delaying trucks with it.
Said they would put both on when it comes in.
EDIT:
talked to the dealer today and he said ford went ahead and did the liner and cover.
Just got a text this morning and email from Ford last night it is due August 18-27th.
Best thing is dealer said they would hold the price from when I ordered, the sticker price is now almost $5k more.
They will get my biz again.

Brief update on my truck. Quickly approaching month 10 since I placed my order. ‘22 F450 Platinum. Dealer called about 3 months ago to tell me they deleted massaging seats. Now he called me this week to tell me if I want the truck, I have to remove the sun roof. Of course I said yes. I’ve gotten no VIN or build date yet.

The only thing keeping me sane is that we’re done with all our poker runs for the year. Don’t really need it right now, but at somepoint, I’ll need to have a difficult conversation with myself on if I still want it. Feeling like I’m getting an XLT with Platinum badges and cost. They keep removing items.

Crazy that you have not gotten a build date yet. Wonder what Ford will be doing about this? Will you have to re-order a 23 or will your truck carry over and be a 23 model? 4 months left in year just doesn't seem like enough time to get many builds done before any re-tooling they would need to do for the 23 models. Not in the biz, so what do I know.
My truck is still "shipping". While it is I have been looking at mods. Thinking of lowering the rear to level it either with shackles or axle blocks. Any input on this? Also, I REALLY want to Whipple it. From what I am seeing though the Whipple kit is only for F250 models and not F350's. Not sure what the difference is but some forum I saw someone mention the warranty may not work with the added capability of the 350. Gonna call Whipple on Monday and see. 700hp sure does sound good!

Dealer told me Friday my truck is in Orlando.
Not sure how long its been there but that is about 60 miles away. No date on when it will get to the dealer. He gave me my check back that I gave them when I ordered the truck. The date on the check was 9/9/2021.
it is crazy that we are getting 2022's when in normal years 23’s would be out.

Talked to Whipple today. They currently have an F350 in for testing and should have something ready for it in a couple of weeks. They also said that no 250 or 350 kits are out yet and don't plan to ship any for about 8 weeks.
