I wouldnt see a need for a triple axle trailer, just more weight you have to pull.. I just bought a 10k tandem axle trailer for my 29 fountain and it is more than enough.

Dual will be fine as a triple would be overkill for a 26 IMHO. I have double axle under my 35.

That boat does not need 3-axles. Why subject yourself to limited mobility, additional maintenance and extra tires to blow/replace?

Dry weight of the boat is in/under the 5K lbs range.

Good tandem is the best trailer as a tri is just going to chew up tires. (hell, you can efficiently pull a 36 on tandems if it's matched properly.)
Tri axles have their place -your boat isn't one of them so save your maintenance/upkeep $$$ budget for buying a high quality tandem from the start

I replaced my triple 3500# axles (10,500#) out for dual 6000# torsion axles (12,000#) on my 30' Panther. Best trailer decision I have ever made.
I tore up tires on my triple making tight turns.
Best place to buy trailer axles?

Dual all day long, easier to maneuver, less tires to worry about and at 26 feet you really have no need for triples. Back a triple up and make a sharp turn, you will cringe at what those tires/axles do.

My triple aluminum trailer floats when backing into water with no boat on it. Had to add lead weights to keep it from floating.
