Nice! I'm jealous.

Nice. I have a 6.0 drive train out of one of my vans that was totaled by an employee. Have been looking for a Project myself to drop it into.

DrFeelgood 06-15-2022 05:59 AM

I had a 67 panel truck it was a work truck came with one seat and one visor. 67 cars and trucks didn't have side marker lights. On the Chevy truck the hood slooped down just a bit more then the 68-72. They made them more raised to look more "truck like".

compedgemarine 06-15-2022 08:32 PM

not a truck but this is my LS project. getting close to being able to drive it. it is closer than these pics. I get lazy about taking photos.

Nothing like ls

Blueabyss 07-29-2022 09:49 AM

Not that you didn't notice but change that dipstick tube right now. It is a M Effer with the body on. Once they are rusted too bad they break off in the block. If it does that best way to remove is screw in a coarse thread screw in to it and get ready for a fight. Install is also pain in the ass. Not only the oring has to be seated but the metal ring a few mm above it need to be flush.

This is the one you have.

Chris

F-2 Speedy 07-29-2022 10:34 AM

I dont know what you're seeing ? theres no rust on the ds tube

Outstanding!

compedgemarine 09-15-2022 04:25 PM

you keeping the truck intake? curious why you were looking for different injectors. assume they are for this. is the motor so far from stock the original injectors would not work. just asking as I have a 2006 5.3 in my Cadillac and I just used the originals and rewired the harness but mine is all stock.

F-2 Speedy 09-15-2022 04:41 PM

The old harness had been cut on and splices so I ordered a new one and it has the EV1 injector connectors where the old one has multec 2 connectors, so not wanting the hassle sending it back I was looking for a close OE flow injector with the EV1 connector. Smitty ( Articfriends ) is sending me a new set they flow a little more than OE the the ECM will self learn. Yes keeping this intake for now been told its the best in stock form.
