You can also get a front hitch for the truck too...i had one on my old dually....it was breeze pushing the boat in instead of backing it up sometimes.

The swing is different when backing in. Cant do it.
The swing pulling out it really tight also. I have no room for error.
If I dont buy something to help me turn, modifying my driveway to back in is my last resort. Always been a thought but I see it being the most expensive option.

How much did you have in it? Any photos? Post on here or PM for my number if you dont care.
My dad has tractor trailers. His trailers have 3 axels with airbags in the middle.

Air bags should be easy to source these days at a reasonable price.

I’m 190lbs and all my weight was on the pedal and it would lift it. If the pedal was longer, maybe. But this probably means the load is too heavy if a longer pedal is needed.
I thought about assisting the dolly with a floor jack but don’t want to break the dolly if my boat is actually too heavy.
Dolly is rated for 2000 lbs. I estimate my gross weight at 10,500lbs. Boat dry is 7400lbs.
So 10,500/4 tires is 2625 per tire. Some of that is tongue weight so yeah, my load probably exceeds the dolly capacity

I am wondering if for some reason the "rollers" on the go jack is jammed, making it not spin when you are trying to jack it up. (Try shooting some grease in them) , your Jack wheels are stuck with a stone or something, or lastly, is the tire against your jack side strut? The way they should work is adjust your width as close to the tire as possible, slide it in and then start jacking. Make sure it is centered. Sorry to sound simple, but it sounds like something is wrong?

On level ground where nothing will get away from ya, I leave the coupler unlocked and tongue jack down, raised enough to clear.
Get in a bind or not headed where you need. Just drop, re-position the forklift and re-pick without even getting off the equipment.

I have the same issue with my Café and driveway. I actually tore the rear spring mount off the trailer on a hot day with new blacktop. What seems to work well for me is to wet down the driveway and tires, then throw a 5 gallon bucket of soapy water in the area where the boat pivots the sharpest. I also made new spring mounts and reinforced them. So far so good. A short wheelbase vehicle makes it much easier, I have towed it with my Super duty then switched to and old Bronco to back it in. That also helps.

I widened the end of my old driveway to allow me to back in. It wasn't that big of a deal at all, just an afternoon with a skid steer, a truck full of gravel, and a concrete drain culvert extension.
You would be surprised how much maneuverability you would get with a front hitch on your truck. It changes EVERYTHING when it comes to turning angles.
I will also say this: I had no idea how often I would use a forklift until I had one at my disposal. My landlord keeps his forklift in my building. I use that damn thing all the fricking time and he knows I treat it better than his employees,
