Re: Pull Rig Poll
As above, now THAT is a truck. Reminds me of the Terex 75 ton mining truck I used to drive!

Re: Pull Rig Poll
There are 2 engines available, the DT466 and DT466E, the second has as much torque as the 7.2 liter CAT, about 860lb-ft. :evilb:

I would take that thing even way before an H1 must be around the same money. Sweet rig Congrats. |
Re: Pull Rig Poll
Yes I had a supercharged H2, but the transmission was the weak link in the set up for towing. I looked at the H1, but they were still not even close in the tow rating, and only held 4 passengers. The transmision on the 650 is a Allison 6 speed.
This truck unpainted get's far more attention than my H2 got even after the killerpaint paint job. |

Re: Pull Rig Poll
I've got one on my 2005 Duramax. Works great, I've got the attitude controller and Edge Juice under the hood. Man the power difference is phenominal. Also, have the Banks monster exhaust and the K&N intake conversion.

Re: Pull Rig Poll
Picking this one up this week. 3116 Cat and 3:36 gears, I can't drive, 55! A coat of Black, a pickup bed and cruisin. I think this may outdo my beloved powerstroke.
Now to sell the other two. |

Re: Pull Rig Poll
They are all good trucks, that can do the job. with that said , comfort for the long haul is key and GMC is the ticket. I have a 2001 GMC dually with the 496/allison, and it pulls as well as a diesel, even with 150K miles on it. one of our shop trucks is a Ford F-450 2003, the seats suck to say the least, you may as well sit on a milk crate. Its been in the shop numerous times, only has 39k miles on it. havent been in the dodge so cant say.
but besides the power packages, see which one is most comfortable if you plan on long trips. |
Re: Pull Rig Poll
I like my 2000 Crew Cab F350 with the cummins engine. I wouldnt have it any other way. Diesels are made for pulling down low in the RPM range. A straight 6 will create more torque down low than a V8 with simliar cubic inches. I wonder why all the semi's are straight 6ers. FWIW
