What did you ever work out with the 32 handling? I am thinking of moving down from a 47 Fountain to a 32 Velocity with 496's that is in Ohio. I have heard horror stories on the boat's handling at 80+MPH. Would be interested in opinions on 32 Velocity vs. 32 Fountain with stock power. Thanks

Hey Hyper 1, I see you are from Middletown, DE. Do you boat on the Chesapeake Bay? What year is your 32 Velocity and what power? How does it handle the short chop on the upper bay? Thanks for your response.

Yes I boat on the upper bay,it eats up the chop with no problem,I am running a pair of 525scs with intercoolers and Imco Extreme SC Drives and it loves the water conditions the Bay hands out,it is alot of fun and it is for SALE.Goin bigger,a Velocity of course.

I found most of my handeling problems were me, I had my props tweeked again and use the planes and trim as necessary and go a little faster (cruising speed). I think it was more of a learning curve and I'm still learning with every new condition. As one guy stated earlier in the thread, I'm underpowered, also confirmed to me by my boat guru. I think if I had a couple of 525sc's I"d be much happier. I can"t speak on the 32 fountain but a friend of mine has a 35 with 502s and its great, Maybe my next purchase. Would I buy another 320, not sure, I love the cockpit area, and seperate head, also the eng. hatch and back seat design make it easier to get to the engines than my previous boats. Lacks a little in the head room over the sleeping area, not alot of storage room.
we boat on the potomac river and stay out overnite quite a bit. With the new raised deck version and more power, its possible I would buy another.

I made a filler cushion for my bench seats and can sleep two very comfortably now. Also have a 12 volt fan on the counter top for stuffy nights... and the stereo is right there to turn on or off.
The boat has potential for comfort but you need to be a little creative.

I use the 12volt EndlessBreeze fan its the best I have ever purchased, I also installed a Bomar hatch on the deck w/screen and man what a differance. I do cheat on the docks though, I have the portable ac, great Idea on the filler, thanks

I would not worry about how the 32 would eat up the Bay Chop. I was down there a few weeks ago with my 290 and had absolutely no problem. I can only imagine how much fun the 32's were that weekend.
