A nice quiet day to ride the pad. Well,...it was quiet.

Nice 290. I am going to look at a new one soon. What engine do you have? What performance figures have you gotten with it? I am interested in hearing real world figures from anyone who owns a 290. What other comments regarding ride, handling, etc...

Performance, and workmanship have been outstanding. Handling is great in any conditions. I have the 496HO and see 72-74 on speedo, 4950 RPM. GPS has been @-3 at all speeds. Peaked at 71.5 GPS on upper Chesapeake. Cruise at 48-50 at 3500 RPM. Added CMI headers and now running 76-77 on Speedo. Have yet to find another single 496HO that can touch it. I could not be more pleased. Velocity4me is a guy in Vermont with the 525. He is thrilled with his too. Feel free to PM me for more info.

Good lookin boat Doug.Have you got any Fall tripps planned for Lake Champlain.We will be out for another two or three weeks.The Turtle had an awsome end of season party last Saturday.

They do run strong in this weather!!!!!

Winni has droped early this year, so I will probably pull the boat this Sunday. A foliage run on Champlain in a few weeks soulds great. I will have to let you know. I plan on spending much more time up there next year.

Actually Dean, I was trying to keep up with the Mount. I did get a picture as it was pulling away though.

OH REALLY? When are you going to be on the Chesapeake next?

Glad to hear you gained a few MPH with the CMIs. It sounded like a lot of people were buying them but few posted any conclusive results. I'm still undecided if I think it is worth the $$ or not for me.

I would like to take a few trips down there next year. It is only @ 8 hours for me. I just received my 30 inch back this week, which has been modified considerably. I hope to give it a shot between raindrops this weekend. Will let you know how things go.
