Re: Honest Opinions Needed
Use to own a Velocity in the late 80's. Also use to work with Art Lilly who sold Velocity. I always loved the dash layout with the gauges running across the entire dash. The graphics however have always been the same big V. I got use to it and it's immeadiately recognized as a Velocity. Maybe offer several graphic styles with the old. Let the buyer decide. Sometimes change is good but I like the old. Just my .02

Re: Honest Opinions Needed
As far as the smaller Velocitys are concerned, Steve should get the molds from Regal for the Regal 230 Velocity and begin producing that boat again. There was a lot of freeboard and room for a 21' boat (23' with the swim platform) and a large usable cabin with facing seats. The wrap around bi-level dash was functional and looked great. The boat ran extremely well. I would love see a new rendition of that boat with a 525 efi stuffed under the hatch with modern gages/bezels/shifter/throttle/better quality interior/etc. The 230 Velocity also carried a 23 degree deadrise...a little better for rough water. It had a great look and profile and beat the $**t out of it's closest looking rival..the Sea Ray Pachanga. I absolutely loved my 230 and with a 454 Magnum ran in the upper 60's all day long. Regal's quality may have left a lot to be desired but their pairing up with Steve Step and designing that model was a Step in the right direction.

Re: Honest Opinions Needed
The # 1 most important thing they need to do is seal the transoms up properly so that they do not Rott out anymore :mad:It is amazing what the end result would be if they used a $15.00 tube of caulk.
