Back to the topic in the title:
I looked at Velocity boats, liked the price and speeds but the product is very dated. 1. NO windshield boats, make a race fairing 2. NO flame or v stripe paint jobs 3. Redo dash to something more modern The fire boat previewed at the Jax Firefighter PR was too over the top, the paint looked like it belonged on a El Camino. Send a boat off to an artist like TAOD, Mitcher T or Dave Hunter to give the boat a new look and you will sell more boats. Or make the girls found on CAVelocity's boat standard then you will sell all the boats! |
Re: Honest Opinions Needed
Hey Thorough,Like Brian said prove it.Until then TMB.How can you still run a boat that is totally delaminated, and if it did it is still under the FACTORY WARRANTY or is that something else you and Steve have not disgussed either I MEAN IT WAS A NEW BOAT CORRECT.5 Year hull warranty and if they do not stand behind it I as well as many other people will be shocked including Steve himself.

Re: Honest Opinions Needed
Throughs' boat is a 2000 260. It was absolutely mint when I sold it in the spring of 2005 with 123 hours on it. It is my understanding that the boat has been pounded to hell, including having been run aground, where there it sustained damage to the hull/transom, not to mention other abuse beyond what that boat was built for. I have not seen it since, so only Through can speak for the actual condition and what it has been through. Again, perhaps he could share the stories? It is all fun to talk about what you put a boat through untill something fails. This is not a product failure issue.

Re: Honest Opinions Needed
..I'd prefer to sell it for something smaller..but that doesn't seem like a possibility..so I suppose it will be re-assembled......no time soon.
It's hurtin' me to spend the $$ on it ...the fun vs. $$ just isn't there anymore. Hey Marty how ya makin out, hope you had a good Thanksgiving. How are you making out with your Hot Rod I was talking to Mark Henderson and he was not sure what you guys had decided to do.Talk to you soon. :D[/QUOTE] |

I know the scenario of which you speak here RIP. If I recall corectly, there was a denial of waranty coverage here, pushed off to his insurance carrier. But yes indeed, it went hot steppin' down the highway in a big hurry. |
