I especially like how the instrument/switch panel is angled and beveled into the horizontal top piece. I wish my 390 had that sort of dash design. It looks like you'll have a pair of tachs and a flat panel display? It has a really nice clean look. I don't know if a "Smartcraft" type approach is even an option for your power package but that certainly would be appealing aesthetically! Do you plan to stagger your shifters to left of the wheel and throttles to the right or everything on the right? Beautiful boat!

Is the dash and driver's position further aft on the race hulls than the cabin hulls?

ttrm007 02-06-2016 07:25 AM

I don't believe there is a significant difference. I have seen dash setups that vary a bit (mine now being most unique). I think they are all the same though.

Thanks for feedback. Yes, 2 tachs and a flat panel gps display. I believe I'll end up with shifters on left and throttles on right. Not positive on that layout yet as I need to do some experimenting.

How is the boat coming?

ttrm007 07-18-2016 05:09 PM

Very slowly as usual. Have made some minor progress though. I have my wiring harness all routed to the engine bay. I have engine room lights hooked up to make it easier to work.

I have the engine hatch lift all figured out I think. Placed order yesterday so should have it by the end of the week so I can actually get in and out of engine compartment. Still trying to figure out my emergency access if batteries are dead. Any good suggestions? Maybe just plug into shorepower as my only real backup to get in? I could always hot wire a battery to the hatch lift switch too.

Is there a way to rig pins that you can pull from somewhere with the hatch closed, disconnecting the linkage to the rams?
