I just eye balled it, but the angle finder is a great idea. I will try that. Did you do any bottom work? Did you see any gains?

no i did not, with a 4 blade boat would blow out coming up on plane. velocity mark ran one with a 5 blade and boat was no faster then with 4 blade and standerd drive he may jump in we both are going to try it again with different props to see if it will work 28 thoroughbred's boat works he raised the drive in the boat
Tyler Crockett told me that his old Velocity race boat ran best with a 3 " to 3 1/2" measurement with a 5 blade. Like everyone else, I'm just wondering if there is anything to be gained by raising my drive height , or straightening the bottom and sharpening edges. Figured someone has done it before and could advise whether or not its worth the time and $. Thanks, |
Straightening the bottom will get you about 2 to 3mph from what I have heard.:cool-smiley-011:
