Cracked blocks "OUCH!"
When I purchased my project I saw a few frost plugs had popped out with no external cracks on the blocks but new the potential of expanding ice. Pulled the engines to freshen up(rings, bearings) removed intakes and found the biggest cracks I've ever seen in blocks in my life. What a waste, water+cold=bad Anyway I'm not that busted up about it kinda figured it would be like that but always hope for the best. The rest of the engines are in premo shape and all top notch parts so now I need two tall deck blocks std bore, hope a fellow OSO'r can hook me up. Going to the shop after lunch I will take a few pix and post them. This would of been sooo expensive if I didn't have my own shop and had to pay someone else.
