Vicious22 your 22 outboard was on my short list when it was for sale. Clean rig!! Beautiful boat.! What kind of power were you getting out of those v-8s' and what speeds? I have just 10 hrs. on my 280s' and turning 14.5x26 machs? at 7000 so far. I haven't gps'd yet,but will have # soon. I am going to try some 26 bravo's next. Any prop suggestions will be appreciated.
I ran a mazco RE4 14 1/4 x 28. 2 guys 1/2 a tank of gas 1' chop running high and loose It would spin 8000rpms. the speedo pick pull out of the water at about 93/95 mph. It idled at about 1200.....a tad bit high strung for the family.

I know your boat It was owned by a friend of mine here on the upper Chesapeake bay. If I remember right it didn't like bravos....but give em a try.
Pricy but the Mazco RE4's are great blades. Good luck

Thanks for the info Vicious. Did you or your friend who owned my boat set the feet to turn in? I was wondering how it would effect speed and docking. I have read that out for better handling around docks and in for speed. Just wondering if anyone had experimented with the 26' hull and had any info. Thanks Bob.

That's a 41' Velocity without the swim platform (flat transom). Last I knew he was running a couple a 550 or 600 HP 502's. Sounds like he's worn them out and they are getting updated.

my '87 22' . yamaha powered. the back seat was really heavy and one piece, you had to remove it to gain access to the batteries. I made this set up for convience to the back, it also took off a ton of weight. The back transom area was weak from regal so I put some reinforcement back there too.

The motors were 509 cu in 550 hp Teagues. The motors are out and up at JC's shop, think he said something about 522 cu in and 650 hp. Yea, the motors are worn out, tired......ready to be shot. I did pressure test my headers over the weekend, got lucky, had a couple of leaks above the collector and 1 right at the bottom. Another season and I would have been flooding the motors for sure
