As for the blown engine, I'd just replace it with a rebuilt long block and enjoy the season.
Build or buy some bigger power during the off season.

I saw a 38 hustler on cooperss.com . It is a salvage boat with a bad hull but , it does have imco draves and Paul Phaff 850's.Boat sank motors were pickled.Cheap price for lots of good parts maybe ???:cool-smiley-011:
