Yes i would have to agree a set of mild blowers with good gas and a little common sense should make 500 to 600 horse depending on the kit and tune. dropping $20 to $50 grand on used / low hour motors would make me scratch my head alittle. With you living in OK the drives should hold up i would think( We boated on Lake Eufaula and a 6" chop is a rough day LOL) Good luck. Curt

That fukcing stinks. Sorry to hear that. Been there, only good thing its early in the season. When you put it away last season was everything ok? Was there fresh oil in before your blast, or is this a good way to tell your sweety, it wasn't my fault and now I need a rebuild and might as well include blowers. Also been there.

Curt, I just got back from the lake, I was heading up to the 80MPH mark on my GPS @ 4950 RPM and the port engine took a sh!t, I saw my oil pressure gauge go from 50psi to 15psi then a good knock from the engine bay put me on the trailer. Motor still runs strong but oil pressure not over 15PSI so I'm thinking a spun a main bearing the way it knocks.

Thanks D, Yesterday I had my engine hatch open looking at the 496's and I said out loud I wish you were blue 500's. I guess the 496's heard me.
