Well I just am not looking for the "don't waste the money, save it for a bigger boat", "put a big block in it", etc. etc. that you normally read when someone mentions upgrading a SB. Not saying that my "Velocity Brothers" would say that, just others!!

That being said, here is a brief run down of what is in the motor. Dart Little M block, Eagle forged crank, H beam rods, forrged Wiseco pistons, Brodix Track 1 heads, Marine Kinetics solid roller cam, Jesel shaft rockers, Edelbrock Super Victor intake, HVH carb. spacer, Holley 950HP carb. It is 406 ci. Made 594hp @ 6200 and 540 ft. lb @ 4200.

I am still running the Alpha drive and at this point, plan on keeping it an Alpha boat. I need to get dual ram hyd. steering over the winter. I also am going to put a Hot Foot throttle and steering wheel mounted trim switch on it. Trim tabs are also on the list. Was told to put K Plane 280s on it. (With that power and the speeds it should run) I will have to see if they are in my budget!

Not one to leave stuff alone, I had to redo the fuel system and the oil system.

The fuel stuff is temporary. I am going to pick up an Eddie Marine seperator mount over the off season to match the oil filter mount.

To be honest with you Mike, it was like it was on rails! I am used to driving it on the pad but the faster it went, the better it felt. Didn't even realize I was going that fast or I would have pulled back on it sooner. I had my son in the boat and it does not have hyd. steering yet!!!
