No I'm not we are going to try to use my stellings but haven't fitted a engine yet to see where the stelling will hit the transom, may have to go with the taller headers. Tractors look cool but get old after awhile.

1:35 ratio SSM #6's drives, gimbals, and a set of 17" x 33 pitch 4 blade props arrived yesterday.

I thought rigging one boat was tuff now I'm doing two at once.
Don't get scammed. If you still want to donate to the earthquake victims send the money to me and I'll see it goes to the right place.

Two Bam Cyborg 1500's transmissions W/11 forward clutch plates and heavy duty drive shafts on the way.

notda1 01-31-2010 05:04 PM

Dynoed the 465hp 502's for the Velocity 320 and they made 480 hp but a couple cylinders were a little weak on the leak down test so decided to do a head job/rings and new bearings while they are out of the boat. Engines are going back together now and will redyno them and break them in on the dyno for the new owner.

I could have installed them like they were but that's not how I roll, anyway she will be completly rebuilt to make the next owner a very nice ride.

I ordered 20 Auto Meter Monster Gauges yesterday for the Cat project. "Chrome Ultra Lite Pc Marine" from E-gauge. Good people and good prices too. $1250.00 for all 20 gauges with senders. I went with as many machanical gauges that I could. 5" on the speedo's and tachs and 2 5/8" others. These are light silver face with the chrome rims.

2-water pressure
2-water temp
2-oil pressure
2-oil temp
2-Vac/boost
2 fuel level
2-fuel pressure
2 volt

KC, good choice in gauges!! Were doing our cat with all Carbon Fiber Autometers once its done with paint.

302Sport 02-19-2010 03:29 PM

i thought it was just painted???????????????????????

Velocity Vector 02-23-2010 12:12 PM

The 465 hp 502's I bought are in worse shape than I bought them as, The engines arrived and we dynoed them and did a leak down test, both engines had problems on the leak down so I told my engine builder to tear them down and find out what the problem was. Yesterdeay he called and told me both # 7 cylinders in both engines were water intruded and were so bad out of shape he will have to bore the engines and install new 30 over pistons in both engines or they would't last till the water got hot. So now instead of just installing engines, I am looking at two complete rebuilds.

Pat McPherson 05-19-2010 11:50 AM

1000HP tall decks right?

Sick Stinger 05-19-2010 12:43 PM

Velocity Vector 05-19-2010 07:29 PM

Some more bling. I bought these tall chrome valve covers made by BIONDO and two KE oval Flame arrestors for the cat project blower engines.

My blower moters trade fell thru so I got my supercat engines back and bought a set of polished carbed Whipple 3.3's W/ coolers and 1050 dominators to go on top of those supercat engines. We are going to start with 850 HP but can up them to 900 HP if needed. We will be adding a set of blower pistons.

Powerquest230 09-20-2010 10:31 PM

KC,

I bet that cat would run purdy good with those supercats without blowers, at least until you get it dialed in and get bored driving it.

Also I know a good spot for those blowers :coolcowboy:

Rich, We talked about it and quessed a 100 mph with the un blown supercats but we all know how boring that would be in a Cat so here we go. Bob has the supercat torn apart getting ready for new pistons and cams. will get used to blown 509's then if we get bored we ease up to blown 565 CID.

Powerquest230 09-21-2010 05:50 PM

Going to be a nice ride when it's done and I bet it will have a whole lot less pucker factor at 125 than the V did at 95.

I got the cd player working and found the Eagle's Long Road to Eden in it you want me to drop it in the mail to you?

No you can have the cd, It was my sisters, i'm more of a AC/DC kind of guy. You getting any hrs. in on Crazy Energy?

Powerquest230 09-23-2010 07:50 PM

We've probably have only added about 35 hours of run time to the meters, might be easier to track by how many tanks of fuel. Getting most of the minor bugs worked out and put new props on a few weeks ago. Made a night and day difference after taking the Hydromotives off and replacing with Bravo's.

The Velocity crew is supposed to be in Clearwater Oct 1-4th for the offshore races and poker run. Hoping I can get lucky and get one of the guys to take a ride with me and see what they can wring out of her.

Velocity Vector 09-23-2010 11:56 PM

That's good. I'm going to guess around 86 if she propped right and running loose You will learn a lot if you can arrange that meeting. Good luck.

1HYPER1 09-25-2010 12:03 AM

Bill

Velocity Vector 09-25-2010 09:30 PM

Powerquest230 09-25-2010 10:23 PM
