Nice King Ranch KC,How is the project coming along.

KC,
Sweet looking truck, better keep that young one that confuses 4 wheel drive with amphibious away from it. :) Good luck with it, Rick |

Did you have the dealer make sure it has the 400hp- 800tq reflash? It's free and holds in gear longer with a 2% increase in mpg |

Rick, No she will not be driving dads new toy. |
Met Kenny Friday afternoon a couple of hours before the race village and street party opened up. He spent plenty of time patiently answering my 99 questions and went for a ride with me. Learned a bit and had a great time.
Kenny- thanks appreciate your time and the great service for a customer who bought a used Velocity through OSO and not Velocity. Really appreciate you bringing the swim platform ladder to me, don't see that kind of service much any more so Kudos to you and Velocity! Hope you guys had a good run today. Thanks, Rick |
Rick, Did Kenny air it out?
|
Yes, we had a good ride. Later that afternoon went for a nice ride and thought I was doing pretty good until that blue 390 knocked me back into the lil' kids playground- and I'm pretty sure he had the cruise control turned on! :)
|
Speedmaster #6's rebuilt 1.35 ratio and ready to go. Cams and pistons going in this week on the 509's then the 3.3 Whipples.

How's the project coming KC? Get those motors fired off yet :)
I just ran across the Lake Texoma video and watched it to the very end again- wowsa that was a wild ride... bet you never even noticed the hit was hard enough to split one of the bolster frame tubes. just noticed this week the right front frame tube was shortened the hard way. Dang that must have been a hard hit, hard enough to make the hog go blind? :party-smiley-004: Boat's running great and finally had a bimini made to ease up on the no a/c conversations with the wife. Now that the elections are over and my work schedule is back to normal so I can make some time to help a brother out and save him the airfare by making myself available as a stand in driver for the shake down cruise. :lolhit:
I know.... you've got it covered; I'm just trying to weasel a ride on Crazy Energy's replacement- Wicked Energy. Rick |
Your more than welcome. No A/C tell the wife. We will all get drunker than Dick was when Haddi died.. At the dock of coarse.

I finally found another set of Stellings headers and 5" dry tails. The other set I bought were said to be tested but leaked like a sprinkler system. These came out of a 40 skater flat deck as seen in photo's. Also got a tie bar for the 6's.
|
You can call Stellings and they have a guy you send them to in California and he can repair them for you. He did one of mine and had to put a whole collector on for $450. When it came back it looked like new. If you still have your old Stellings you could do that and resale them to recoup some money. He basically charges by the hour.

Damn I had to go back quite a few pages to find my thread, Any way our engines are coming right along for the Cat. These engines were in my flying V-320. The Supercat motors. we rubbed on them a little to up the HP, next - we add the polished carbed Whipple 3.3's W/ coolers and 1050 dominators to go on top of those supercat engines.

My good friend Bob Oetringer in Florida is doing all my work. This one will fly. Bob has his sh!t together as you can see by the Looks of his shop. I'm uncomfortable walking in his shop with my shoes on!

I still have the arrestors but Bob won't let me give any parts up till he is satisfied we are completely done. Bob gets mad at me if I interfere with his train of thought. So I just stand back and let him do what he does best. When I gave him the boat he asked what do you want to do with? I told him it's your boat do what you want. That's all he needed to hear and told me, "Get out of the way I'll call you when it's done". Heee! When I go to the Doctor I trust his decisions and don't tell him what to do and treat Bob the same way. Bob does have a CAT-PHD you know.

Mr. Bob gave me a Engine's update. Got a little bling bling going on.
Hopefully those highly polished chrome valve covers will be easier to clean than my old polished aluminum ones were.:bunnydance: Surely we can get 75 MPH out of these. those Stellings headers in the background will look nice on here with the 5" cannons |

Still chugging along with the Cat project. Gimbals are ready for epoxy primer and paint , and the engines are about 85% ready, then Bob can start on the boat once the engines are dynoed and the gimbals are together.
