Hey Eddie, Gary, Craig, Cat, thanks for the kind words. We'll be at the Miami boat show Friday and Saturday at least. Definitely plan to stop by the OSO party and hope to meet some of you on here. Look for the guys in the StillCrazy shirts!

On another note, registering the boat has been a major PITA, and after 5 months waiting on FWC, then two months getting every form the DMV wanted, they are now telling me we need a court order to get the title. Boat has never been registered and always sold with only a bill of sale. Any OSO lawyers out there want to help????

You need a title in Florida to register a boat? I thought that you only had that problem when you buy a Florida boat and take it to a state like mine.

Can't Steve at Velocity give you a replacement MSO? But you may have to pay taxes?

I feel your pain guys. The title to my 81 velocity raceboat was all f'ed up 15 yrs ago. Turns out in my case that the boat, somehow was one number short on the vin. Ma would NOT register it. Getting chain of ownership was extremely difficult as one of the previous owners was in prison for coke and the guy I got it from, got it from the Feds. The stack of paperwork I have for that boat is massive. In the end, I got Mass to assign a new vin # for it and start over. I course in the beginning, I just tried to cheat a bit by using a dealer plate from a marina I ran till the state police pulled me over, looked for vin #'s but couldn't find it though 3 layers of paint and impounded it on a beautiful july 4th weekend for 3 weeks. I'm dying to check out your boat and compare notes. What a great thread! Brian

And thank you everyone for the kind words. It means a lot to me.

The refreshing part for me was that you did so much yourself and truly earned the help and kindness forwarded to you both from Steve and the other helpers.
As opposed to dropping it off and writing a check 4 months later.
You two know your boat from front to back which is wonderful.

You deserve the accolades that you will receive as you go from event to event because you earned them.

Enjoy the fruits of your labour.
Your father/uncle must be very proud of you.

We should ask IB to create a BUILD section to put this and other similar stories in so we can reference them in the future.

Be Safe
