By the way these bulbs are "INSANELY BRIGHT :cool::cool:", looks like I'll be swapping out the side light bulbs as well.

Those bulbs are bright. lol I like it for the lamps, but would like something a little closer to the originals for the other lights. Otherwise the glow coming out of the cabin will look like something out of the movie ET.

I totally agree, great for the swivel lamps, but way to much for the side cabin lights. I gotta quote you:

"Otherwise the glow coming out of the cabin will look like something out of the movie ET"......that's priceless (but true).....:D:D

I just removed the panel holding the side lights because 2 of the wooden brackets had come loose. How is the lens removed from the lights to gain access to the bulbs ??? Does it pry off from the front ??? As soon as I get the lens covers off I'll have a better idea what I'm working with size wise. One of the glass lenses is cracked so I may decide to replace it with a lexan lens that I'll sand with some 800 wet/dry to see how it defuses the light if using the bright bulbs. The main concept for this lighting project was to reduce the use of battery power (watts/amps) but yet maintain brightness.

I have a bulb out in one of my side lights. Let us know how they come apart. Plan on changing before summer.

For those who didn't know how to remove the trim bezel and glass lens to replace the bulb (like me),
here's a step by step on how to:

1. Lamp housing (glass is already out) as it is in your boat:

2. This is the tool I used to remove the trim bezel by just getting behind it:

3. This is where I inserted the tool to get behind the trim bezel and pulled outward:

4. Pic of the lamp housing w/out glass, trim bezel or bulb:

I should have my new LED bulbs for these side lights in 5 days, they are not as bright as the swivel head bulbs (BRIGHT WHITE) I used. These will be "WARM WHITE" 12V DC @ 1.5 W each, a hell'va lot more economical on power than the original bulbs I took out @ 10W each
