Yes. 
The Golf may pull 3748 lbs.
The hull with fuel tank have a weight of around 2000 lbs.
Thats no problem for the verry smal car.
The complete boat have a weight of around 4520 lbs?
....plus trailer!
That´s to much for the small one!

You will find the guys at Velocity very helpful. Good luck with your project. I have the 280 and by the time I am done this winter, the only thing I haven't redone is some of the wiring and some of the dash. I have the interior and sound system gutted right now and will be finishing it this winter, I hope.

All build books got distroyed befor he bought the company.
