For the record let just put some facts out there.
Since OSO has banned Chris Straub in 2014.....It looks like some are still the same miserable people they have always been and will always be while Straub Tech has grown into a very nice shop that they film the www.engineperformanceexpo.com show at with guest like Tony Bischoff, Jon Kaase, Warren Johnson, Vic Hill, Scooter Brothers, Gary Stinnet, Roy Johnson, Ben Strader and many othersl!!! There is an Open door policy at Straub Tech if you want to stop in and see it for your self with your own eyes. Yes Chris started from a basement office and then a two car garage in October of 2006!!!. Straub Tech is now a Multi Million Dollar business that has and continues to grow. Year after year. The powers that be here at OSO would do well to reconsider the ban they imposed on Chris Straub Long ago. https://engineperformanceexpo.com/?f...-mX0V7KqJ4xj8w |
Chris, is that you ? Lol. You ever put an impeller in a marine deal without paying someone to do it ? More specifically, how about an exhaust or outdrive ? Thought so. This is crazy. Your calling and texting him and he’s coaching you what to say. Classic.
Anyway….. So, Don, did you know Mercruisers 400hp Scorpion engine was 383 with rhs heads crane 222/230 at .050” hydraulic roller ? Edit in: i believe cmi headers too, on some. |

The haters surely show themselves. Instead of hating. Why don't you tell us about your accomplishments Scott? Oh that's right because you haven't any. All you've done to this thread is try and almost destroy it. You have zero to offer and yet you're still here. Take a hike. Let the grown ups talk. Trust me no one will miss you. |
Copy/pasted from straub. Love it. :)
Did you know that about mercs 383 ? |

Okay, lets start with your dyno sheet. Its not even from your motor and who knows what its for. And it was built by Foxwell who you said was a hack.
With that being said, I haven't built a Small block in forever, Only Big blocks. BUT the last SB I built was also a 406 It made 535 HP @ 6250 500 Tq @ 5000 In 1986 And if you'd like. At 5000 RPM it made 477 HP and 500 Torque. So your dyno sheet shows NOTHING that couldn't be done 36 YEARS ago. Last I checked, technology has slightly improved in that time. That dyno sheet is the parts picker you want to use? have at it. |

Oh and the SB leg humper and other hater chimes in that has contributed zero to this and probably any other post he has ever commented on. I guess Zone 5 a pretty desolate place when it comes to mental giants. The dyno sheet was an old dyno sheet from a number of years ago with an even smaller cam then one being used on my engine Einstein. It was posted to show what was being done years ago. Yes since then many things have changed with the exception of the mentality of yourself and SB. A couple of mental giants you are, and it would appear that neither of you are capable of changing. Lets pick and choose our spots to at least try and make ourselves look intelligent. |

Straub all on his own? LMFAO. How about you ask him how he screwed Stef over? How he got all his contacts from Stef's customers and then ran away and went on his own taking them. And there is a LOT more to the story. |

Here I have posted what Straub Tech has become since being banned from this board, and here you still are posting the same ol fodder. 16 years of being a professional forum board poster, 12,304 posts on this forum board alone now. Every single one just as useless as the last. Wow what a contribution... Tell us. How did the throttle body spacer pan out for you? You know the one your daddy funded for you. At least Straub has made his own way on his own dime. You are nothing more than what Foxwell is. The bumping of gums, and the pounding of your own chest. Come on Scott tell all of us just how smart and talented you are. Tell us how many millions have you made, and what have you built. We'll wait.
Go take a look at tech sections with my help. That’s all I’m gonna say about that. You’ve shown your true colors and that’s unfortunate. |

If you knew anything, you'd know that Griff is a Mod on this board. But hey keep on telling him off. That will work well for you here. |

At least try to stay accurate and current if you're going to hate on someone. It's more than obvious that you and your BB, SB are clueless though. Hard to hide jealousy. SMH.

Is that supposed to mean something to me? The facts speak for themself, and if Griff had informed himself. He would have known and I wouldn't have had to inform him. As far as Stan from Steff's. I've spoken to him personally. As a matter of fact Stan is coming in to Piney Flatts with his motor home and guess who he'll be hanging out with? You got it. None other than Chris Straub. Hell...I could get Chris to send me the invoices of how much business Strab Tech does with Steff's if that would enlighten you. You see the difference between you and I is I do not work on conjecture and rumors. I operate from facts. You should try it sometime. Then you wouldn't act like the Gray matter lacking individual you do. but then again I hear that gray matter is at a premium out there in Zone 5. |

I should ignore what Tony Bischoff said about the cam that Chris Straub profiled for my boat, and let some guy that I know zero about tell me wheat I should do with it??? Dude...You're smoking dope. There is one other thing as well. I don't get emotional. I just tell it like I see it, and to date Chris Straub has profiled a cam for my 565 BBC 69 Chevelle that has been 9 teens. Plus one for my 66 Chevelle that runs just dandy, Plus this one that Tony Bischoff has told me would be a good cam for the combination that he has planned for my 383. You and your fan club came on here with an axe to grind with Chris Straub and hugging on Scott Foxwells leg, and when I told you how things really were you got emotional. I don't know you. I don't want to know you. I've never ask for your opinion or help and I don't want your opinion or need your help. You are right about one thing. Lets move on. I'll keep on doing what I've been doing and you forget you ever saw a thread I've posted and everyone will be just fine.

WOW. Welcome to OSO. One month and you are now the resident expert on a couple of douche bags that were banned. I can't wait for you to suck 1 gallon of water into your block and hydrolock the engine with your Chris Straub "custom cam".
Oh look...Its another hater crawling out from under yet another rock. You and your cohorts only wish you were as successful as the man you hate so much. How does it feel to walk around carrying Chris Straub in your head rent free? Sheesh and here I thought this place was different than the other forum boards I no longer have nothing to do with. That is very sad though because there are a few here that actually are here to help. Yet Buffoons like yourself, Zone Five and SB go a long way to keep many that would normally have something to offer to avoid this place like the south side of Chicago on a Saturday night. Well you all win. This is not what I came here for, and even though its been fun making some of you look like the BOOBs you really are. It's just not my thing. You 3 have a nice day....We'll cya round with Dyno numbers and speed improvement. All tough none of you need anyone or anything else to make you look more hateful or brain dead than you already do or are. |

Any chance you bought the velocity from Chris Sunken?? The previous anemic cam, was that from Bob Madera? |

Wow! Uh...interesting thread...seems the technical side of things got lost a few times.
Many years ago when I boated on Kansas lakes primarily, I had a friend with a 19' Carlson Signature Series Glastron with a very healthy 383 in it...and that boat ran a 25" Mirage if my memory is correct. NOTHING for hole shot, my buddy was a top speed freak. This was long before GPS but he had a friend with radar gun and that boat ran 68 @ 4800 - 5000 rpm, and with a 200 hp nitrous shot it would hit low 80s at 6000 - 6200. It was scary fun but blew Alpha drives with some regularity. Donnie D, how's your hole shot? Does it struggle? |
The hole shot, and top end RPMs did struggle with the 25 pitch Mirage Plus. I have since changed the prop and I'm now running an older QuickSilver Mirage 23 pitch and the boat really seems to like it. The RPMs picked up to 5400, and the top speed picked up another 2 MPH to 70 MPH. For a tired and not very potent engine. I'm pretty impressed with it. The engine will be coming out after this season, then taken to BES Racing Engines to be updated. I'm collecting parts now and I have a fairly decent stock of what will be used. The cam, lifters and Harland Sharp rockers should be here in the next couple of weeks.
