Default 1993 velocity 260 refit.

Does anyone have any advice in a refit from single BBC to twin outboard? Thinking twin 300r. I know I have to bulk up the transom. Curious how much this extra weight disrupts the balance of the boat and such. I know people have done this, just looking for more Info so I can make a decision.

First thing I would do is contact the factory. Velocity is very friendly and helpful.

I've seen at least two 26' Thoroughbreds that came from the factory with outboards. Outboards were a power option for most Velocities 32' and under in the 1990's. I'm more familair with Excess Enery (user name) who had his rigged with twin V-8 Evinrudes. It was fast and I believe it handled well. Not sure if he still follows this site but I'd try sending him a Private Message as he's very knowledgable bout the outboard version and lives nearby.
