I've had mine since new in '03. Stock 496 HOs, boxes and Carter fitted the bravos with locally labbed 32 pitch Bravo 1s. This combination yielded a consistant 86 MPH, occasional 88 MPH and once in a blue moon 90 MPH. In every case the RPMs are slammed at limiter, 5,200. With the 1.5 ratios that puts my prop slip at a nasty 16%.
I had a friend from Merc Racing drop me off 30s, 31s & 32s all labbed to test this last weekend. Needless to say I was a bit disappointed with the results and hoped some of you can share with me your slippage numbers. I am thinking the four blades are a bit limited and maybe I should be looking at Hydromotive or the new Maximus five blade from Mercury.

I tried multiple 5's and they sucked. I have also talked to others whose Warlock 31's did not like 5 blades. I don't have prop slip numbers though that is too complicated for me.
I can run 96 any day and 100 most of the time with 525sc's which are turned up to about 575 at the motor. (545 at prop?) I have never driven when it was cooler, these are high 80's to 105 degree days. My boat ran the same speeds before we turned up the motors but it hopped too much and wouldn't plane well. We turned up the motors and dropped the drives an inch at the same time. I also dropped the tabs some.

Well that sucks, my plan was to put a pair of Hydromotive P5s on next year. I picked up a pair of used 34s from a guy on this site who cut the diffuser ring off...The boat will hit 86 now, but struggles to plane, blowing out the prop as it lays over. I've talked with bblades and they suggested putting the cup back on and working the Bravo 34s to give me some additional bow lift.
