Running a cat with the wheels turning out is a dangerous prop-osition (sorry, couldn't resist the pun). Even with them spinning in, a tight corner without being in the sticks can have you up on one rail. Although the boat may not have handled well with 1,000 hp, it might be a whole different animal with 1,500. The first cat I drove was a American Offshore 3100, and with stock 500s it was a porpoising fool, but with blowers the cat just powered past the lift/vent threshold and ran sweet. As far as adding tunnel tabs, they really only help if you can't get the boat to ride flat (no porpoise). The tabs will work like a valve and control the venting of the air out the back of the tunnel. Get back to us after you have a season on the boat and let us know what you find with the cornering issue.

From what I remember they were all the old molds Eliminator (west) wasn't going to use for various reasons. The idea was it would be cheaper to build boats in the market you sell them instead of shipping them across the country...problem was these old molds were obsolete for a reason and moving them to a new venture on the east wasn't going to fix that.

Do you know about what years Elimintor used them? Will be looking for old pics or some existing 33 Obsessions and Eliminators. Donzi ZX interior skins on the way including enine cover w/ ZX on it. This is going to be a Johnny Cash boat for sure.

33 Daytona. The cabin looked nothing like yours though. Yours is plush and ready for sleep overs.

I had a guy contact me about listing a 33 Obsession last weekend. Never seen one before. Here are a few pics. Sounds like you did well on the price too.

Owner said he's ran it 108 and it handled great, I haven't been in the boat running so I don't have any first hand knowledge.
