Talking Brian...

I got mine from Kurt Bachus @ Atlanta Marine. And they are an authorized dealer located @ Lake Lanier. I got your hook-up if interested!

Hey Hpron, I seen your boat yesterday, went there to look at a 27 and 29.. I also posted the question on hotboat. about being able to take the 27 in the big water... so I guess I can.. Will the 27 ride rougher than the 29, I know it is shorter but will more freeboard help the 27.. probally a stupid question.. but I'm learning and learning.. about the new project.. thanks

Riverdude:

The 27 will ride rougher than the 29. The 27 has more freeboard and has a ton more room in the cabin. The 29 is a great big water boat but with little cabin headroom. The 27 is also terrible in a gusty wind - 29 is more sleek and aerodynamic. I've owned 5- 27's and 1- 29. Brian Hollis

Thumbs up Riverdude..

I too have owned both the 29ft and 27ft...Hollis makes a few good points..he is basing his opinion on his experience and same for me...however its a matter of preference..and creature comforts.

They are both good 'big" water boats..great rough riding..thats my opinion..\.02..

Like any boat its up to the set up and driver, after all look what two pro's Lance and Jim Arvis were able to accomplish with it.Far more then me in a 29 ft. or any other factory racer in a 27 ft that I am aware of...I had recently spent time off the coast..{east} in the Atlantic in a 27 ft and ran it hard under same conditions that I used to run my 29 F1-86 Purple Haze boat in, and felt more then comfortable in it......so much so I built another and went with 27ft.because of cabin, freeboard etc..

It fits well for the family..felt much more comfortable with the high sides for when riding with my younger son..

Good luck...feel free to contact me directly with any other questions regarding service,quality,performance..etc..

Hey brian.. you said it will ride rougher, but you owned 5 of them , you must have liked them.. How much rougher, because the 29 that i rode in was a 90 no step.. does that make a differnce.. thanks for the response. you guys...

Thumbs up

River-

The 27 is as good as it get's in it's class, it just does not ride as good as the 29. Keep in mind though I own a 2002 Cigarette 38 Top Gun and it runs almost 90 mph in anything(weighs 13,000 LBS- Size matters in any boat). The boat Ron is talking about is my old 1999 27 Warlock F1-96. I won a Championship in it in 1999 and The APBA Rookie of The Year. I also was a Warlock dealer and know a great deal about the boats.
