2010 Ky. Lake Poker/Fun Run
#62
Mitch not trying to ask a rude question but just curious.... I hadn't read the part about the "no slips reserved" thing until I calledthe marina. They told me if I wasn't in the poker run I could reserve one and if I was it was first come first serve. Most poker runs we go to go out of their wayto accomomodate traveling boaters. I was just curious the reasoning behind this. 2 couples just called and reserved slips and rooms at other nearby marinas. It sucks to drive a few hours and get there and have to remove your boat every night. Guess we have been kind of spoiled
just a little explanation to share with the other 20 some odd people trailering down with me would be nice.

We only got about 7 boats coming but 20 something people.....sorry for the confusion Jim. We got 3 boats mechanic dependent right now. Eddie Yound is finishing up one of them and supposed to have it done, and 2 local boat shops got the others. We attend any poker run we can make it to usually. Captain Ron's Shoot out at Ozarks, Lake Cumberland Poker Run in Sept, Break Em Out Poker Run in Owensboro, Lake Nolin Poker Run, adding the Nashville Fun Run this year also. Doesn't sound like a ton but when you start looking at boating from 5 months we are usually at one every 3 weeks or so.

Not trying to claim to be a veteran poker run person either. Just stating my view from the runs I have attended. Last year was my first year of majorly hitting poker runs, but the group I am coming with has been doing them for 3 or 4 years. Regardless looks like we will be down on Friday morning weather permitting.

Yeh we just got confirmed word that Eddie won't be done with that boat for sure.... We also had another guy decide to leave his power boat and bring a pontoon instead. We have like 10 more girls wanting to go with no rides so he is going to take all them. Another decided to go but not run it since it's not a poker run. No lt real sure about that lol. We got 3 running for sure and looks like the rest will just be party covers meeting us there
