Fun Run
 

Think there will be any kind of a Kentucky Lake Poker or Fun Run this year? Used to be held in May or early June.

I have been wondering the same thing. I know the fact that last year's event was pretty informal, coupled with the Saturday weather, really put a damper on everything, but it's such a good venue with a great group of people, I hate to see it go away.

I have yet to hear anything on my end. I believe Mitch stopped doing it. Maybe he will do it this year :party-smiley-004:. I'm all for a fun run if everyone wants to get together. I sat at the boat ramp all Saturday last year. It would never stop raining.

I emailed Mitch last week and he said that he had no info, and has not been envolved with it for several years. It kind of works out on a bad weekend for a lot of people, but I fear that if the Father's day weekend is given up, it will be lost to someone else. Lot of money envolved. Some of the bigger poker runs have a lot of support from local business and Performance Boat oriented companies, boat dealers etc... to help and market the event. I hope it stays alive because we as well as many others look foward to it every year, even if we are not alway's able to be in the run.

We could still all get together and take a ride somewhere,, TN maybe,, I called in Dec. and the Convention Center was already booked for the year.

We should just plan a long weekend for the TN crew to come up. Run down to TN for lunch on Saturday. Maybe have a big cookout at the Moors on Saturday night? Nothing too organized... just party for a few days.

I know we can count Buddy Luv and KennyO in without asking. Anyone else? When should we do it?

How about June 1-3? If not, other suggestions?

Great idea!! The Moors probably only has a limited amount of rooms though,, they stay full most of the time.

Im in for June 1-3. Sounds like a great plan.

June 1-3 works for us. We may stay on a houseboat down at the dam. We're in for something at Moor's on Saturday night though.

I put a post on the MCPA site to see if anyone there is interested. Saturday the 2nd works for us. Maybe a few more will join in.

Three boats from Nashville are planning on meeting at the dam on Saturday the 2nd at 10 am and heading to Fat Daddy's for a lunch run. Anyone who is interested is welcome to make the run with us. Probably just come back to the Rock Quarry and hang out after lunch.

Can we even go under the Ky Lake bridge to get there due to a ship wrecking it all to crap? I knew for a bit they were stopping all boat traffic.

Hey, BDon. Melanie and I picked up a 27' last year. Haven't made it to the Lake yet. Ran a few times with your little bro on the river.

We're looking for some lake time, but probably need a good guide for running there.

I don't think it died. Were all working on our boats. Well at least I am lol. Been on the lake the last two Sundays. Going out tomorrow. Come join us!

Just got it back from Nashville. Had service done, and was real pleased with the work done. Ready to go now.
