Ok, you are clear, but there are some untrustworthy people out there (whoever you purchased the drives from). Let the buyer beware! I guess the indicator to us, should have been the paint on a Dry Sump Six lower. It's behind us now, there is a new lower on it.

The drives were on the boat when I purchased it and I had no reason to believe the skegs had ever been welded.

You and your family have always been stand up people and I have heard many stories (from jack) about how you never cut corners and always do things right. I have to imagine this is just a sad case where something was hidden prior to you or ZP getting the drives and eventually the issue came to light is all.

Sooooo, we ran 5 sets of props including 6 blades, the best all around are the 5 blade, 17. 5 X 34 x15 r. But it won't turn them high enough. What to do? Oh of course, remove the 871s, add new whipple 510r screw chargers. The engines already have Whipple MOAC inter cooler manifolds. So that is in the works now, waiting on Dustin. See you in Key West...

AN IDEA !

Maybe keep the props that are the closest to working for you and send them to BRETT from BBLADES? He can fine tune them to get you to where you need to be.

That's a terrible idea. They have it right. Props aren't too big, engines are too small. Love it!

I agree it makes perfect sense. You already have the props that work pretty good. You can't adjust them yourself, and shipping would be crazy for 2 props all the way to Michigan. The obvious choice is go the do it yourself route and upgrade the power plant. 2 Whipple's is about the same cost as the shipping!

The Whipple's will be night and day better than the old roots setup. Especially if you go EFI. Other than price point I have no idea why anyone would build new engines with roots blowers and carb anymore.

ZP and MRP

Save the old parts as I am working on a Café that will need a few upgrades! Film at 11.
