AWESOME! But I couldn't own an IROC sans T-Tops or Convertible.
I've been trying to find my original Monte Carlo (http://bismarck.craigslist.org/cto/5336886206.html) or duplicate it, but I am not having much luck.
If I can't find a mid-70s or 80s LS Monte Carlo WITH T-Tops, I may end up with an IROC-Z. I had a 87 Trans Am with the L98 5.7, but they don't hold the stigma of the of Z cars.
This IROC belong to my ex-GF. It has 40,100 miles on it. Years ago, we went to upstate NY to get it for her. If she decides to part with it, I get first shot at it.
What I'd REALLY love to have is a street legal IROC race car:
I have yet to see anyone pull that off.

Dont mean to junk up this thread but......Your ex's Iroc looks really nice. If she went all that way to get it she will probably look after it. You do know what an IROC race car is eh? It's an 105" Hutch Pagan Busch series Nascar. My Chevelle is a Hutch P. Hutch built, fielded and maintained the cars in the series for its duration. IROC sort of took over the company turned into their full time gig.
Are there any more of those IROC widebodies stuck in an attic anywhere?!?! Or did Dale destroy all of them?
I also have thoughts of finding a local stock car like this one, and taking it back to barely street legal with antique tags.
And YES, I'd cut the roof and bars and make it a T-Top.
I don't have a lift in my barn yet. That is somewhat of a purposeful delimiter for me, as I'd be dragging all kinds of wayside left projects home and my GF would disown me.
