Of the 15 or so class's....I don't think any F1's are showing but I could be wrong...none have run all year.....
SV...I think Brett will be the only one in that class...if his boat dosn't sell....
As far as the 750's and 850's class's to me by having these 2 class's just deluted the SC Class...but I don't think you can blame the Org for so many classes.....it really comes down to the racers....if they want less classes.....they would agree to it and build a boat to fit the smaller classes....and I don't see that happen anytime soon......

You won't see any F1 that class is done, and u won't see any SV I think they are also done. Bret has been running P2.

Looks like the classes we have now r pretty strong.
SS always holds it own.
SVL is a strong class
850 has a good count
750 has a good count
3 turbines
Cat unlimted is growing strong
SV unlimited i think wiil be a strong class next year
SCL is a question mark
P1-P5 is strong not sure what class u would want to do away with

I think the classes we have r fine, I do think we need to lock them in for X amount of yrs as far as motor changes and specs. Set the rules and lock them in. Thats what happen with F1 and F2 it was the beginning of the end. Similar to SC750 class it split in half to an 850 class. If the rules were set and a new class couldn't on been started it would have twice the boat count in 750. The racers r just as much to blame we do it to ourselves.

Frank...I agree....we all can say we need less class's.....but the racers would be the first ones to leave if there class is taken away....If the racers really want less class's they would build a boat to fit into one of the big class's today...and the other class's would just phase themselves out like F1 and SV.....this was tried in OSS....4 class's only....and it did not work....there will be around 8 or 9 SV's running in P2 this year in Key West....and it will be some great racing.....buy capping the speeds at 102 it gives the older SV's a chance of running up front and then add the other boats that are runnig in P-2....it will give that class a big boat count with some great racing....

Good example is Aqua Mania , and JBS if they built SC 850 or 750 the classes would have grown. They wanted to run Turbine we all make choices.
CRC , Bud Lite , Bob Bull, and Citron are another good example with there new Cat unlimited , could very well be 3 more SC850's. Again they made a choice...

Something to think about...
Q. Why is there a750 AND an 850 class?
A. Because MercRacing sells BOTH motors.
Of course, I may be wrong...

I think consoildation of classes by making current race boats obsolete or restrictively expense to refit would kill the sport for good. The only answer to consolidation would be rules that equalize the boats simular to P1 or major sponsorship $ to refleet.

(not sure if P1 is actually working either)
