If I was buying E-rated SRW tires, they would be Yokohama Geolanders.

I put on a set of Yokohama Geolanders on my truck today. I ran a set on my Tahoe and loved them.

Bad news, they are like $900-1000 a set.
Seems like every decent truck tire these days is a grand for a set, I have sticker shock every time I shop anymore.

I looked at good years with the silent armor, but there's a design flaw with the sidewalls (i think, but you can research it) toyo makes an e-class tire with a great tread design, and a deep cut, but not too aggressive.
The absolute best bet for your money are Hankook dynapro atm's. (if you can find them) they have the deepest tread, great cut, are not noisy at all on the hi-way, and they were rated #1 by diesel power mag...i've had them on my f250 for 10,000 miles (with a lot of towing) and they still look brand new. truck handles great, and gets fair mileage...

I second the Michelins, assuming LTX M/S!! On my last set on my Excursion 7.3, I got 118,000 out of them!!! And yes, they won't vibrate the fillings out of your teeth!
