i have a 04 duramax also. tuner exhaust i plow and tow heavy loads all year long. i run cooper discoverer tires. used to be an ATR now a AT3. i get 50-60k out of them. they can be bought for 800-900 a set. i run a 315/75/16 in a D rating. better ride for sure! i put them on my customers trucks and everyone loves them. they wear like iron and are quiet going down the road.

I have ran 3 sets of Cooper ATR's and get good miles out of them. (274,000 now on the truck) The ride is great and all, but I think they really hurt my gas mileage. When I had my original Firestone's my mileage was much better (80,000 miles on them). I almost instantly noticed the change when going to the Coopers. Gas was cheaper back then and didn't really care cause the ride was superior. Question is....can a tire actually knock 2mpg off of the fuel economy?

The Cooper Zeons track great, no issues with wet traction, and I am fine with the ride. It is a lowrider, but I feel the tires are great.

I did chat with a guy at a gas station the other day who told me the same thing and he went with LTX 2's for replacements.

Yokahama's are the only thing I run on my trucks. Great tire, quiet, and they do wonders in the snow. I get around 35-40,000 miles out of them. I will admit I rotate them often.

depends on your area if your down south I wouldnt worry about getting AT, and even if i lived up north I would get the super knobby tires as it will kill MPG.
Mastercrafts are good tires as well.
