Ok. So I have most of the dressing out completed on the engines. Still tons to do.. need new stainless marine pipe and other odds and ends. I have spared you some of how the sausage is made pics .. will need to do exhaust port transom work.

I soldered and heat shrank everything. God bless the snap-on butane iron. I giggle to myself every time i use it.

I could certainly be wrong, but I would think that at 28 deg total timing these engines are probably down 50 hp and I would be concerned with tuliping the exhaust valves or torching the seats. I wonder if the dyno operator ran them with more timing and they just didn't perform there. I know that some combos are sensitive to timing changes and some just don't care. It would be interesting to know.

they are definitely detuned and run on 89. exhaust temps were good.

I appreciate all the feed back. I enjoy looking at these type project myself. I wish more people out there were into doing the same thing but the turn key new boat thing with all the goodies is hard to beat.( expensive tho)
Seems like there use to be a lot more of the hot rodder rebuilds a decade ago. I guess the demographic is changing and i'm just an old schooler..lol

Now that the engines are in and most of the bilge rigging is sorted out i needed to have Stainless Marine make a new pipe for the forward engine. It was quite the chore explaining to someone on paper/ email and the phone what i needed to some pretty darn close tolerances. Last thing i wanted was "buck tooth" looking exhaust pipes hanging out the back. Had to make sure the length and height worked out. Didn't want someone at the dock calling me out. I know this is obvious to you guys but i though you might want to see what i went through to get it done. It may help someone else down the road. Pics to follow....
