Some time ago when the 28's were relatively new, I inquired about building a 28 w/ big power. I wanted the boat to run mid 90's or better. At the time it was not thought to be a good idea.
What is the fastest 28 running out there?

The new 28s are very different than the old ones, pre 04 I think, have to ask Pat. the bottom of the newer ones are actully the old 32 with a dam in the mold. they are very stright with no rocker or hooks. so they can handle more power than the old rocker bottom that was built off a fishing boat. I would like to see one with a 600 or 700 to see what it would do. I know that the bigger power puts the price outa sight ,But it would be a fast boat. I have asked Pat about putting the dam farther back and making a 30 or 31 with a very large single but he didn't like the idea. so we will have to stay with the 28 which is a perfect single boat.
