Lots of love on this forum. Your guys are so brainwashed by your cult that your incapable of actually discussing the topic with anyone but yourselves.

I recall reading that the 28 non-stepped hull, at one point, was not rated for speeds over 80mph. I'm pretty sure I read that right off the AT website, although it is not up there now. Pat correct me if I'm wrong here. What is the max speed rating of a 25AT? Do you guys even give a chit or would you rather wait until someone gets killed? Since both the 25 and 28 are not much different I thought the subject was worth bringing up. I know that the old 32AT had a hook in the hull. Does the 25AT have a hook? Its pretty hard to get an old straight bottom boat with a hook past 80mph. And if you do it could cause excessive stern lift. If it does have a hook I'd remove it or start over with a new hull. Don't tear up a good pleasure boat trying to turn it into a race boat.

I'm just asking the question. Its not something to be ashamed of. Pride is not going to be worth much when your dead. The 28 Apache is only good for 85 ish and starts to get a little loose. That was pretty fast back in 1990. IMO you really need a lot more running surface for speeds over 80mph.

You are unbelievable!

My 28 straight-bottom runs mid 70's and at that speed I can take my hands off the wheel and steer it with my d!ck! Where the hell do you get this stuff from?! I knew the guy who owned OCD's boat before him and he ran mid to upper 80's without and ill handling characteristics. The crap you spew about AT's is getting super old.

I can tell you the 28 runs very well in the mid to upper 80,s. I hope to see 90+ this year if all goes well.

alot of boats were not made to run over 80, but who cares if we followed the rules then we would live in a perfect world, and as far as ive noticed were along ways from perfect so lay the sticks down, and if you need a -2 shortie ive got a pair listed in the swap section.
