I can't give you a comparison between a 28 AT and 28 Pantera, but my 32 AT rides WAY better than my 28 Pantera did in rough water. Both very solid boats, but the AT is so much more comfortable in rough water and I can easily run 15mph faster through 2-4's.

Was your Pantera a single or twins? That is definitely similar sounding to the difference between my boat and Jay's 33 (32.5 :whistle:).

Also can be power related, in mine to run 70 it is LOOSE, trimmed way out. A more powerful twin can get there with a more conservative trim which of course makes it more secure in the rough.

Who was driving? Sure as fuk doesn't run 70 when YOU drive it. Your girl said you get scared around 2800rpm. :eekdrop::thankyouthankyou:

Bones, you have my curiousity piqued. What attribute would you take from a 30 Outlaw and put on an AT? The abundant engine room access? :eek: :drink:

Brian, I liked the shifters at the left hand and throttles to the right ( I know...the new ones are that way). I'd prefer more modern cabin door like my Baja had because it makes entrance to cabin easier and the swinging dual doors dates the boat. Ultimate set up is the Cigs built in steps, electric actuation with step down before you even enter the cabin as it reduces chances of crashing the melon or stripping skin off you back. Air intakes under headrests rather than lifting rear of engine pad (disrupts the lines of the boat). Liked pop up cleats over pull ups. Liked compactness of Latham cylinders ( common attach point on the stern for ease of maintenance and cleaning). Foot rests in Baja were positioned better for me for standing but locking in butt into bolster. I liked having finished gelcoat from liner for keeping the bilge really clean. Last but not least anchor locker...we've been here before but until you boat in Niagara river you can't appreciate not having one.
These aren't knocks..just stuff that helped make the boating experience easier. I wouldn't trade the speed and rough water capability but would like my cake and eat it too.

Allright, what's up with all the members that have the red 37 "tiger stripes" boat in their avatar? There's Brian that used to own the boat, there's Pat, who drives it like he owns it :party-smiley-004:, and then there's Mike, who just pays for it! Kind of reminds me when everyone had the Farrah Fawcett poster on their walls. Maybe if Pat would build a couple more, everyone wouldn't have to fight over the same one!:lolhit:

Single 525SC in the Pantera. It would run 67mph. It didn't really ever get loose until you really tried to get the last couple mph.
My 32 AT will run about 73-74mph. It probably gets a little looser than my Pantera did trying to get the last couple mph out of it.
