what're your thoughts on single vs twins in a savage?

I'm my humble opinion, nothing beats having twins. Besides the added security on big water, being able to control the bow while docking in rapid current (i.e. river, jetty) or in a crosswind has many benefits. Though, it can be even more entertaining to watch someone docking with twins without skills (or embarrassing). I'll take the added maintenance any day.

Same thing as with the higher HP singles and why the bottom changed. You don't need twins in that boat, but IF you are solo boater (no other boats around, maybe weekdays) or you go offshore, it's great to have twins.

Ours is a 99 with a large notch in transom and very high shaft height. Running 800+ HP turning a stock 5 blade Max 28P. Runs any time 83 gps with 4-6 people and gear. Have seen 87.7
