Actually, the early 28's came from the 31' Active Fish mold with a damned down to 28'. The boat bottom had more rocker, different strakes, and a very sharp deadrise at the bow. The later 28's came from the damned off Active Thunder 32 which was and still is a great running straight V hull. The top decks had to be adjusted to fit the newer style hulls that were based on the 32' bottom. Both were great running boats but the later boats handled better..

Someone needs to build a 28 with a pair of Ilmor MV8 570's. Any clues on what that would run, price and speed wise? Maybe refitting an older 28 wouldn't be that bad....

I guess the Ilmors are iron blocks. These guys are all aluminum...
