Jay, can't sleeve a 502. Siamese bore will distort the other cylinders unless you sleeve all 8.
Smokin gun has a 502 block that spun a main. Can be bought cheap and just needs to be align honed.

Whats everyone reading this opinion on boring .090 over ? Too risky ? Worth the risk ? Several companies build a piston for .090 .

Have to sonic check the block. It's not uncommon to go to that bore but need to make sure there is no porosity in the casting or any corrosion issues

I would do the sonic test and see if it's even possible first. If the results are borderline, probably not. If the material is there to allow it, I would do it.

so after all the drama they were able to hone the cylinders .005 and get them cleaned up . valve job is complete , crank is turned , all gasket surfaces cleaned up , and new bearings . just waiting on the custom ordered diamond pistons to come in . really getting anxious to do some boating . start a new job in the next week or so and worried i wont have time for enough boating in the remainder of the summer .
