My old Sonic used to like to collect water in the forward compartment. I had considered getting some goldfish, but after sealing up the bow light {common problem with that vintage Sonic } all was good! I know unrelated, but funny, none the less!

My 26' Sonic was a mess up there too. I used to have so much water, it would hit the back of the speakers and throw out low notes from moving the cones when the music didn't call for it.

I figured out that the size of the drain hose/cup was probably too small...and the problem was compounded by the HUGE amounts of water running off the roof. Towing home in the rain last weekend...I found my other problem was accurately diagnosed as leakage from the mushroom cleat. Gonna have to get in there with a big silicon solution...but for now...a towel will do!

It's not the cup being to small. It is the hose off the cup is bigger then the small drain. They put and adapter on the drain because it isn't long enough to go through the hull. Then the size is smaller than the hose. All I did really was replace the cup. Install new piece of 1/2 inch hose and install the proper 1/2 drain. Flows like crazy now. Not one drop.

Just be sure that there is no way your bow stop is going to catch that drain protruding from the hull; especially when at a ramp that has different angles an attributes than you normally encounter.

Haven't had any issues. Used several different ramps.
