Or just buy these, and no cutting needed

That's a nice simple kit. I didn't know that existed. Thanks for sharing.

That's what I do when I have been behind the wheel of various 37s. But it's not required. I just like the feel of the boat with them at neutral, instead of all the way up. Of the 37s I've spent time in, mine always felt the most light and nimble, which is why I got used to the tabs there.

And, keeping them in that position keeps the gap at the hinge the widest, which for the way my trailer was set up, my transom straps would set in the outer opening of the hinge point without putting stress on anything. If I was every trying to eek out the last .124775 MPH on a cold day, I'd bring the tabs all the way up, but the rest of the time: neutral for cruising.

I like the feel of every boat I've ever driven with neutral tab vs all up.

I only use the starboard tab to correct the terrible list my boat has. Going to try to find some weight to move around this winter to correct it. Also would like to find some 380 plates just for those times they might be needed.

Why not run the port fuel tank a little heavy.

I do, but sometimes you need to use that fuel. Then it's a balance of tab to ride in the middle of the V or getting the crap beat out of you riding on the STBD side flat part of the V. 2 totally different rides. I'm sure balancing out the weight of the missing generator will solve the problem.

So you went from 280's to 380 K-planes, You cut into the Gusset plate? How does the operation of the Tab feel with the missing metal?

I will have to measure mine. I would like to go with the 380's if they will fit.

Yes, lop off the end of the gusset, no big deal. No difference in tab feel on THIS boat. I can't say the same about all boats.

On a 292 Fastec????
Way overkill and won't do anything over 280's
